How friendly are ferrets
Ferrets just like dogs need to be socalised, taught bouderies and given lots of time and attention.

A ferret will be as freindly as the time devoted to them, they are by no means a part time pet to be brought out once a month.

Put a puppy in a cage with rare human contact you are going to get a problem dog, the same too can be said for a ferret.

Kitts I raise will have been taught from a very early age nipping is not acceptable. This is not to say that once in a new home they will not try it on with a new owner.

My advice is to keep a cat carrier near by and call time out if kitt nips. they are quick learners and will hate having their fun interrupted.

I do not agree with flicking a ferrets nose to discourage nipping and the scuffing of neck can be seen as a good game by an overly boisterous youngster.

Timeout is great and very effective because ferrets hate it so much.
